System Development and Support Engineer IIJob DescriptionJob SummaryThe System Development and Support Engineer II, reporting to the Global Manufacturing IT team, is responsible for supporting and developing automation, MES, and manufacturing-related applications. This role involves design, development, implementation, maintenance, and support of systems, ensuring uptime and performance while collaborating with business teams to define specifications and requirements. The engineer also participates in solution research, technology insertion, and continuous improvement initiatives.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide support and project development for automation, MES, and manufacturing applicationsDesign, develop, implement, maintain, and support manufacturing-related systemsCollaborate with business teams to define specifications and requirementsEnsure application uptime and availability for end users on the manufacturing floorMonitor application performance and implement continuous improvementsParticipate in solution research and development for new technology adoptionTroubleshoot and resolve database and system issuesContribute to coding standards and organizational programming practicesRequired QualificationsMaster's or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science / Information Technology (required)3–5 years of IT software development experience in a multinational corporation (MNC)Strong knowledge of system analysis methodology and system developmentExcellent project coordination and database troubleshooting skillsAnalytical mindset with strong problem-solving abilitiesSense of responsibility and accountabilityPreferred QualificationsExperience in the manufacturing electronics sector, particularly IT manufacturing domainsKnowledge of Manufacturing Execution Systems, equipment integration, transaction automation, and parametric data integrationProficiency in Java programming, AS400, Linux, and Data Integration ServicesExtensive experience in SQL queries and database designFamiliarity with AI/ML concepts and applicationsExperience with coding standards and organizational programming skillsCertificationsNone required; relevant IT or manufacturing certifications are a plus#J-18808-Ljbffr
