Systems Analyst

Position Summary

$55 per hour

We are seeking a Systems Analyst to provide technical support, troubleshooting, and administration for engineering and corporate technology environments. This role will support desktop systems, engineering applications, network infrastructure, document management systems, and end-user technologies while ensuring operational reliability and performance.

The ideal candidate will have strong technical support experience, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently while supporting a diverse user base across multiple locations.


Key Responsibilities

Technical Support & Systems Administration

  • Provide troubleshooting, diagnosis, and resolution of hardware, software, and network-related issues.
  • Support and maintain engineering workstations, laptops, tablets, printers, plotters, and peripheral equipment.
  • Install, configure, image, deploy, and support Windows-based desktop and mobile devices.
  • Support Microsoft Office 365 and other business-critical applications.
  • Assist with LAN/WAN infrastructure support and remote access technologies.
  • Install, maintain, and troubleshoot applications and services hosted on departmental servers.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between end users and centralized IT support teams to ensure timely resolution of technical issues.

Engineering Application Support

  • Administer and support engineering document and drawing management systems.
  • Assist users with application troubleshooting, configuration, and workflow support.
  • Maintain technical procedures, user documentation, and support materials.
  • Provide training and guidance on systems, applications, and business processes.

Asset & Vendor Management

  • Maintain accurate inventories of hardware assets, including workstations, laptops, tablets, printers, plotters, and related equipment.
  • Coordinate with external vendors and service providers to resolve technical issues and support operational needs.
  • Monitor equipment lifecycle and recommend upgrades or replacements as needed.

Project Support

  • Support and manage assigned technology projects from planning through implementation.
  • Participate in system upgrades, deployments, migrations, and infrastructure improvements.
  • Develop and update technical documentation and standard operating procedures.
  • Provide off-hours and on-call support as required.

Safety & Compliance

  • Follow all company policies, procedures, and safety requirements.
  • Support environmental, health, safety, and security initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational standards and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

Required Education

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering Technology, or a related field.

Required Experience

  • Experience supporting Windows 11 environments.
  • Experience supporting Microsoft Office 365.
  • Working knowledge of remote access technologies.
  • Experience with desktop hardware deployment, imaging, and troubleshooting.
  • Strong understanding of hardware, software, networking, and end-user support.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel between locations as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting engineering or CAD environments.
  • Experience with document management systems.
  • Experience with SQL, JavaScript, or Shell Scripting.
  • Experience supporting server-based applications and services.
  • Familiarity with network infrastructure and systems administration.
