Five Rivers Analytics is looking for a System Administrator to work in Colorado Springs, CO. Administers, develops, runs tests, implements, and maintains operating system and related software. Establishes and implements standards for computer operations for compatibility between hardware and software, according to specifications and parameters. Troubleshoots and resolves software, operating system, and networking problems. Schedules, performs, and monitors system backups and performs data recoveries. Recommends hardware and software upgrades according to growth statistics and disk space forecasts. Provides technical support for system users. Performs work under minimal supervision. Handles complex issues and problems and refers only the most complex issues to higher-level staff. May act as lead. Typically requires BA and 5-7 years. Responsibilities
Perform operations, maintenance, and systems administration on Operational Switch Replacement (OSR) Systems, Wide Area Network Interface Functions (WANIFs), NetApp, EMS, SolarWinds, VMWare, LogRhythm, encryption devices and other systems associated
Maintain computer networks including VPNs, routers, switches and other physical hardware; install and configure network equipment; configure and manage firewalls as required; monitor computer systems to improve network performance for all systems
Develop/deploy ANETS VMware solutions; administer, configure, and troubleshoot/resolve VMWare environment issues; install operating systems, service packs, security patches and bug fixes as directed; provide technical support and document VMWare processes; keep informed of related developments in VMWare technologies and products
Client/Server management and architecture work experience; client/server experience and provide judgment and analysis for the design, development and implementation of client/server system; analyze client/server requirements to ensure the system meets performance requirements; must be familiar with relational databases
Monitor and troubleshoot system/application activity and performance; perform functionality and integration testing for new and updated Endpoint Security Software; assist in the implementation of policies and standards related to the use of computing resources, overall implementation and operational aspects of multiple systems, operating environments, and related software
Provide system administration support to install, operate, configure, optimize, and maintain the Cisco Identify Services (ISE) tool for the enterprise; provide system administration expertise to deploy Cisco ISE network access control features; implement, configure and administer CISCO ISE
Perform systems administration, database administration and master document upkeep, account management, software support and maintenance, outage documentation review, and repair of computer systems and peripheral devices
Coordinates efforts with customers, associate contractors and fellow STORMS program personnel to ensure highly successful operations, configuration, and verification of connectivity
Develop procedures and trains personnel and perform complex operations
Accepts, develops and implements the more complex configuration changes associated with the OSR and related systems
Good communication skills are mandatory
Ability to work harmoniously in a team environment with government customers and other contractors
Must be able to type a minimum of 50 words per minute
Capable of troubleshooting, diagnosis, and repairs/fixes for network hardware related problems
Must be flexible with days off, schedule will change on a recurring basis (e.g., monthly) to ensure equitable coverage on this shift
Coordinates, Conducts, ensures, and tracks maintenance action tracking and interfaces with the government for standards of compliance
Implementation/ development of procedures, data analysis, and other activities on operational/ non-operationally accepted equipment
Support system engineering and integration assessments on new program requirements
Qualifications
BS/BA degree and 3 to 5 years' experience; High School diploma/GED and 6-10 years of experience
U.S. Citizenship required
Active Secret clearance to start with the ability to achieve a TS/SCI clearance
DoDM 8140.03 Intermediate Level certification
Experience in trunk/circuit testing and monitoring with the ability to review, interpret, and act upon message traffic to protect communication availability and routings efficiently and accurately
Demonstrated understanding of modern telecommunications networks architecture and circuits
Capable of autonomously performing all known tasks and capable of ascertaining and addressing unknown tasks, conditions, and parameters
Microsoft SQL Database Administrator experience
Windows Server and Active Directory knowledge; must have knowledge of server technologies
Proficient with NetApp, EMS, SolarWinds, VMWare, LogRhythm, encryption devices
