Your Role
Akkodis is seeking a System Administrator for a Contract with a client in Indianapolis, IN. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and optimizing enterprise virtual infrastructure, ensuring high availability, disaster recovery, and performance across VMware environments.
Rate Range: $30/hour to $37/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
System Administrator Job Responsibilities include:
Administer and manage VMware environments including ESXi hosts, clusters, and vSphere infrastructure.
Design and implement disaster recovery and high-availability solutions using tools like HCX and Zerto.
Perform VM migrations, optimize system performance, and ensure scalability of virtual environments.
Automate infrastructure tasks using tools like PowerCLI, Ansible, and Terraform.
Monitor system health, troubleshoot issues, and perform root cause analysis to maintain uptime.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align infrastructure with network, storage, and security requirements.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
4-6 years of experience in VMware administration, virtualization, or infrastructure engineering.
Strong hands-on expertise in VMware vSphere, ESXi, HCX, HA/DRS, and disaster recovery solutions (Zerto) with experience in VM migrations and infrastructure optimization.
Proficiency in automation tools (PowerCLI, Ansible, Terraform) along with experience in storage, networking integration, and maintaining secure, high-availability enterprise environments.

Pay Details: $30.00 to $37.00 per hour
