At the Central Plateau Cleanup Company (CPCCo), located in Richland, Washington, we are working to provide a sustainable future for the historic Hanford area through the protection of the Columbia River and the remediation of the Central Plateau. A day in the life of a Business Analyst (Database Administrator) involves, but is not limited to the following:
* Accurately evaluating and mining electronic waste inventory databases and records.
* Supporting Transuranic Waste and Mixed Waste Retrieval and Treatment projects by developing impromptu reports and data queries to support project deliverables, analyzing the data to adjust and modify process flowsheets, and communicating results to senior management.
* Responsible for preparing the Annual Transuranic Waste Inventory Report and the Container Specific Inventory report to support the Carlsbad Field Office needs.
* Represent the WP&O organization during software update implementation and rollouts.
* Train and mentor new software application users, maintain and update training materials.
* Evaluating processes and identifying requirements in support of ORACLE database maintenance.
* Serve as lead project liaison between application users, management, and IT support team.
* Based on user needs and requests, evaluating, approving, and implementing software change requests and conducting tests.
* Developing and maintaining the controlled software in accordance with company software management procedures.
Basic Qualifications
Career Level Grade 16: Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience with 5 or more years of relevant experience
Career Level Grade 17: Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience with 6 or more years of relevant experience
The higher posted level has greater scope, complexity, authority, impact. The level offered to the selected candidate will be based on the needs of the company and the candidate's education, training, and/or experience.
Desired Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or other related field.
* Strong analytical, quantitative, and modeling skills
* Strong knowledge of relational databases, data mining techniques, and business intelligence tools.
* Working knowledge of Oracle databases.
* Proficient in SQL or PL/SQL using Oracle SQL Developer or similar tools
* VBA or Python programming skills.
* Experience developing software lifecycle documentation and work procedures.
* Proficient in use of Microsoft Office Excel (lookup and pivot table experience).
Compensation & Benefits
In accordance with the CPCCo salary determination process, CPCCo takes into consideration the level of assigned job duties and responsibilities, and the candidate's education, training, and/or experience relative to internal peers and the external labor market. CPCCo will not solicit salary history for candidates.
Expected annualized pay range based on full time schedule (40 hours per week):
Career Level Grade 16: $81,500 - $125,250
Career Level Grade 17: $86,200- $137,650
In addition to base pay, employees may be eligible for variable pay awards.
