Rate of pay: $14.35/hr - $17.70/hr
Shift: Swim teach, coach, working with our lower levels of swim participants. Practices go from 5:00pm - 7:30pm, Monday - Friday. Swim coach will also need to attend swim meets on weekends as needed.
JOB SUMMARY
In harmony with the Mission of the YMCA and under the direction of the Program Director/Coordinator, the SportsSwim Coach shall be responsible for coaching and instructing their team. The YMCA coach will work together with the assistant coaches to ensure that their team has strong leadership.
EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND EXPERIENCE

The SportsSwim Coach must possess the competence and confidence to administer a safe program for all participants. The SportsSwim Coach must demonstrate good communication and problem-solving skills along with a good understanding of the community that he/she is working with.
Upon hire, must complete:

A genuine willingness to work with youth, parents, staff, and volunteers is a must. This individual must be of sound mind and good character and must possess good communication skills. They must be safety-minded at all times and must show Caring, Respect, Honesty, and Responsibility values. This individual must familiarize themselves with YMCA rules and policies.
PHYSICAL AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTS
This individual needs to be able to lift and carry at least 30 pounds. If the individual must lift and carry more than 30 pounds, they must ask for assistance from another staff member. This individual may be required to stand for extended periods of time while demonstrating physical stamina and agility.
