Reports To: EVP
Compensation: $220,000 – $230,000 base salary + bonus + equity ($300,000+)

About the Company
This Insurance Industry leader based in McKinney, TX is seeking a transformational executive to drive enterprise-wide process optimization, operating strategy, and operational excellence across a complex insurance and annuity platform.

Position Summary
The SVP, Process Optimization will lead large-scale insurance and annuity transformation initiatives, driving operating model strategy, process standardization, and continuous improvement across underwriting, new business, and sales administration.

This executive will bring deep expertise in insurance operations, enterprise transformation, Lean/Six Sigma methodologies, and digital enablement (RPA, AI, automation) with a proven track record of delivering measurable business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Enterprise Process Optimization & Standardization
    Drive enterprise-wide process excellence and standardization across insurance operations, improving scalability, quality, and efficiency

  • Insurance Operating Model & Strategy
    Define and execute future-state operating models (1-, 3-, and 5-year horizon) for underwriting, new business, and sales administration

  • Business & Technology Transformation
    Align policy administration systems, mainframe environments, and enterprise applications with optimized end-to-end workflows

  • Continuous Improvement Leadership (Lean / Six Sigma)
    Lead operational excellence initiatives focused on cost reduction, cycle time improvement, and customer experience

  • Digital Transformation (RPA, AI, Automation)
    Identify and implement automation and AI-driven process improvements to modernize insurance operations

  • Enterprise Collaboration & Integration
    Partner across business units to eliminate silos and implement enterprise best practices

  • Project Portfolio Leadership & Governance
    Strengthen project lifecycle execution, including prioritization, cost-benefit analysis, KPI tracking, and benefits realization

  • Change Management & Adoption
    Lead enterprise transformation and change initiatives ensuring adoption and long-term sustainability

  • Performance Metrics & Analytics
    Develop KPIs, dashboards, and BI capabilities to support data-driven decision-making

  • Executive Advisory
    Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leadership on insurance operating strategy, transformation, and process optimization

Qualifications
Education
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • MBA or advanced degree preferred

Experience
  • 10+ years of experience in life insurance and underwriting
  • Good understanding of sales/new business development
  • Strong knowledge/experience in annuity operations, transformation, or process optimization leadership
  • Proven success delivering enterprise transformation and operating model redesign
  • Strong background in Lean, Six Sigma, and operational excellence frameworks
  • Experience with policy administration, underwriting, new business, and sales operations
  • Expertise in mainframe systems and enterprise application integration
  • Experience implementing RPA, AI, and automation solutions in insurance environments
  • Track record of influencing C-level and EVP stakeholders

Preferred Certifications
  • Lean Six Sigma Black Belt
  • PMP
