Our team is hiring a Lead Logistics Specialist for Pre-Production Sustainment ERSS/ERCS to support Warehouse Support Services for the Navy Medical Readiness Logistics Command (NMRLC) in Williamsburg, VA.
The Pre-production Lead – Logistics Specialist provides logistics support for sustainment and pre-production activities for Expeditionary Medical Systems (EXMEDS). The position is responsible for ensuring that assigned ERSS and ERCS platforms remain fully configured, accurately staged, and continuously ready for issue.
The Sustainment / Preproduction Lead serves as a logistics focal point for preproduction readiness, coordinating sustainment, configuration integrity, and material condition across inventory, shelf life, logistics, and warehouse teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the lead logistics focal point for sustainment and pre‑production readiness of assigned ERSS / ERCS platforms
- Ensure all material assigned to ERSS / ERCS platforms is complete, properly configured, and platform stowed together
- Maintain platforms in a continuous, ready-for-issue condition by identifying and replacing expired material and removing excess items
- Coordinate sustainment actions across inventory, shelf life, logistics, and warehouse teams
- Support preparation and staging of ERSS / ERCS platforms for build, issue, download, or rewarehousing activities
- Monitor sustainment status and elevate readiness risks or discrepancies affecting assigned platforms
- Support verification of material condition, location accuracy, and configuration integrity
- Ensure sustainment and pre‑production actions are documented accurately in approved tracking or inventory systems
- Support inspections, audits, and readiness reviews through accurate sustainment documentation
- Assist with surge operations and operational shifts affecting platform sustainment priorities
Required Qualifications
- Experience in logistics, warehouse operations, or supply support, supporting complex or configured equipment sets
- Demonstrated experience coordinating sustainment, staging, or readiness activities across multiple stakeholders
- Ability to lead sustainment activities while working hands-on‑ within warehouse operations
Required Skills
- Strong organizational and coordination skills
- Ability to track platform-level readiness and identify sustainment risks
- Effective communication skills for coordination with logistics, inventory, and warehouse teams
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a mission-driven environment
Security Requirements
Valid Driver’s License; All NMRLC contractor employees must be U.S. citizens and maintain a favorable federal suitability determination (typically NACI with SF‑85/SF‑85P) sufficient to obtain and retain a DoD Common Access Card (CAC) for installation, system, and facility access. Continued eligibility is required throughout contract performance, and loss of CAC or suitability status may result in removal from the contract.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting ERSS, ERCS, or other EXMEDS platform configurations
- Prior experience in government or DoD logistics or warehouse operations
- Familiarity with structured inventory, sustainment, or readiness programs
- Experience supporting pre‑production, sustainment, or configuration management functions

- Strong platform-based sustainment and readiness coordination experience
- Ability to maintain configuration integrity and ready-for-issue status
- Effective coordination across inventory, shelf life, logistics, and warehouse teams
