Position Summary

RBCI is seeking a Sustainment/Pre-Production Lead (FDPMU/CDML) to provide the Navy Medical Readiness Logistics Command (NMRLC) with a broad range of supply chain and logistics functions in a warehouse environment. This work is onsite at the Williamsburg, VA office.

This position is contingent upon contract award.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee sustainment and pre‑production operations for FDPMU and CDML platforms, ensuring continuous force health protection and diagnostic readiness.
  • Direct pre‑production planning activities including material pulls, preparation, pre‑labeling, staging, and sustainment of preventive medicine and laboratory‑specific assets.
  • Ensure FDPMU materials supporting environmental health, epidemiology, water testing, food safety, and vector surveillance are properly configured and available.
  • Sustain CDML laboratory systems providing infectious disease identification and clinical diagnostics, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and deployment readiness.
  • Manage sustainment actions for reagents, consumables, sensitive equipment, and components subject to shelf‑life, environmental controls, or regulatory requirements.
  • Integrate late‑arriving material and resolve overages, shortfalls, and configuration discrepancies following initial kitting.
  • Supervise assigned personnel, providing workflow coordination and quality oversight across sustainment and pre‑production activities.
  • Ensure accurate documentation of shelf‑life actions, sustainment updates, and material movements in authorized logistics systems.
  • Coordinate closely with Shelf‑Life, HAZMAT, Inventory, Biomedical, Production, and Government stakeholders to maintain compliance and readiness.
  • Operate and oversee material handling equipment to stage and support laboratory and preventive medicine material safely.
  • Ensure proper handling and storage of controlled, hazardous, or environmentally sensitive items.
  • Maintain FDPMU and CDML platforms in a deployable, auditable, and mission‑ready condition.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as assigned by management.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience leading staff and executing sustainment or pre‑production operations for preventive medicine, laboratory, or diagnostic support systems.
  • Experience managing regulated, sensitive, or shelf‑life‑controlled material.
  • Experience performing sustainment actions, including replacement of expired material and integration of late‑arriving components.
  • Demonstrate strong attention to compliance, documentation accuracy, and configuration control.
  • Capable of operating various types of material handling equipment.
  • Possess a valid driver's license and be capable of operating stand‑up and 4,000–6,000 lb forklifts.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen and have the ability to obtain and maintain the required security clearance.
