As a Sushi Chef, you will be responsible for preparing a variety of sushi dishes, while maintaining strict standards of hygiene, food safety, and quality, and ensuring guest satisfaction through your dynamic and courteous service.
Essential Job Functions
Prepare sushi ingredients and dishes according to Kobe standards
Set up, maintain, and break down the sushi bar and prep area
Interact with guests, take special requests, and accommodate dietary needs
Deliver sushi orders and ensure an exceptional guest experience
Maintain a clean, organized workstation and assist with inventory
Working effectively with the other kitchen staff and front-of-house teams
Key Skills & Qualifications
Demonstrates integrity, teamwork, hardwork, respect, and a positive attitude
Able to communicate clearly and work in a fast-paced environment
Ability to remain in a stationary position and/or move about the workspace for extended periods.
Must be able to frequently move and position equipment or materials weighing up to 50 lbs and reach or adjust items at various heights.
Availability for evenings, weekends, and holidays preferred
Must be at least 18 years old
