Job Details

Role Description

We are seeking a dedicated, detail-oriented Survey Crew Chief to join our team. This is a full-time, on-site position based in Minneapolis, MN. The Survey Crew Chief will oversee and participate in topographic, boundary, ALTA, and construction layout surveys, ensuring precise and efficient execution of surveying tasks. Responsibilities include utilizing total stations and other surveying tools, collecting accurate data, maintaining proper documentation, and supervising field crew members during survey operations. Collaboration with project managers and adherence to project deadlines are integral to this role.

Qualifications
Proficiency in Topographic Data Collection and Construction Layout methodologies
Experience in Construction Layout and As-builts
Skilled operation of Total Station equipment and other relevant surveying tools
Ability to lead a team, manage field operations, and maintain accurate data records
Be familiar with reading plans and cross checking it against provided layout data to make sure it is correct
Understands the importance of verifying the design layout data to existing conditions
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Effective communication and collaboration skills
Familiarity with industry safety standards and regulations
A degree or certification in Land Surveying, Civil Engineering, Geomatics, or a related field is a plus
Previous experience as a Survey Crew Chief or in a similar role is advantageous
