Stoughton Health has an excellent opportunity for a Surgical Technologist to join our Operating Room team on a Full-Time basis.
The Surgical Technologist is responsible for aiding the professional nurse or physician in providing patient care to those patients requiring surgical procedures during the operative and immediate post-operative surgery.
Essential Functions:
- Prepares the Operating Room for patients
- Keeping the operating room clean and sterile
- Passing instruments and other sterile supplies
- Routine inspection of sterile supplies
- Understand the sterilization process
Position Requirements:
- Required: Graduate of an accredited program for Surgical Technologists
- Preferred: Post-secondary coursework in Central Service skills
- Preferred Professional Experience: One-year experience as a Surgical Technologist is preferred
- Required Certification: Current BLS certification
- Computer Competency: Basic Computer Skills are expected for this position. Access email, reference internal websites, access electronic health records, and use online learning tools to remain current with continuing education requirements.
- Microsoft Office Suite Skills: Beginning Skills – Able to perform basic things such as opening a document, change font, save a document, write a letter.
Work Shift:
- Full-Time, .8 FTE
- 32 hours per week
- Scheduled Days: Variable Days
- Scheduled Shift: Between 6:30 am – 2:00 pm
- Every Weekend variable on call rotation
- Every Holiday variable on call rotation
