Founded in 1938 Wilcox Medical Center is a not-for-profit medical center dedicated to providing the Kaua'i community with accessible quality health care. The largest medical center on Kaua'i it is a state-of-the-art acute care facility with a full suite of services offering 30 specialties and programs including cardiology emergency family practice gastroenterology health management internal medicine neurology OB-GYN oncology orthopedics pediatrics and urology. Our Perioperative Services department provides full support throughout the duration of a patients surgical procedure spanning ward admission anesthesia surgery and recovery. Professional care services include identification of the patients individual needs patient care plan development and implementation and the coordination of nursing service to restore each patients health before during and after a surgical procedure. As the Surgical Technologist you will form part of our state-of-the-art Surgery department and help to provide life-changing surgery services. You will perform surgical scrub duties and maintain sterile techniques for all surgical procedures. You will also prepare the operating room equipment and instruments for surgery while maintaining aseptic techniques.
