Job Title: Surgical Technologist (OR Tech)
Location: Santa Rosa, CA
Type: Contract | 13 Weeks
Shift & Schedule: Day Shift | 4x10-Hour Shifts | 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM | 40 Hours/Week
Position Overview:
Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking Surgical Technologist (OR Tech) for an exciting Travel opportunity in California.
Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms for surgical procedures, ensuring instruments and equipment are sterile and ready for use
- Assist surgeons and the surgical team during procedures by passing instruments and maintaining sterile technique
- Anticipate surgical team needs to ensure efficiency and patient safety
- Adhere to infection control and aseptic practices at all times
- Handle, label, and track surgical instruments and supplies accurately
- Assist with patient positioning and surgical preparation
- Participate in room turnover and preparation for subsequent procedures
- Support emergency and scheduled surgical cases as needed
- Maintain accurate documentation related to surgical procedures and equipment usage
- Participate in on-call coverage and respond during off-hours as required
- Float within surgical services as needed
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of Surgical Technologist experience required (5 years preferred)
- Completion of an accredited Surgical Technology program required
- Strong knowledge of sterile technique and operating room protocols
- Experience in an acute care hospital operating room setting
- Ability to work on-call, weekends, and flexible schedules as needed
- Strong communication, teamwork, and critical thinking skills
- Ability to adapt to multiple surgical specialties and rotating assignments
Preferred Qualifications
- CST (Certified Surgical Technologist) Certification preferred
- California Surgical Technologist License preferred (pending license accepted)
