Surgical Technologist - 0.8 FTE

Prairie Ridge Health is looking for a team member to join our Surgical Services Department in the role of Surgical Technologist. This position is a 0.8 (32 hours per week) and is Monday-Friday with rotating weekday & weekend call.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Surgical Technician (ST) is a member of the Surgical Services patient care team.  The ST is responsible for duties which include, but are not limited to: cleaning and sterilization of instruments, selection of supplies and instrumentation for surgical procedures based on surgeon preference, set up for procedures, scrubbing for procedures, maintenance of proper environment of care, ordering of supplies and instrumentation, and assisting in the treatment strategies which are identified in the plan of care within the scope of practice.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS/LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRATION

• Training as an ST
• Two years experience as ST preferred
• CPR certification or obtain within 90 days of hire
• Computer knowledge preferred
• ST certification preferred

FTE: 0.8 (32 hours per week)

Shift: Monday-Friday with rotating weekday & weekend call. Hours vary between 6am-5pm.
