Required Skills:
- High school diploma or equivalent; graduate from an accredited surgical technology certification program.
- Minimum of 2+ years of experience in a specialized surgical setting.
- Certification in Surgical Technology.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Good judgment, attention to detail, and ability to work independently.
- Ability to assist physicians during procedures and maintain clinical standards.
- Capable of performing sterilization and disinfection protocols, including endoscope maintenance.
Nice to Have Skills:
- Experience with specific surgical specialties or advanced technical skills.
- Additional certifications related to surgical support.
- Familiarity with new healthcare technologies and equipment.
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Graduate of an accredited surgical technology program.
- At least 2 years of hands-on experience in surgical settings, preferably in a specialty area.
Other Requirements:
- Ability to work a 12-hour shift schedule, including overnight hours.
- Physical ability to exert up to 100 pounds of force and perform physically demanding tasks.
- Work in environments with exposure to blood, body fluids, and potentially infectious materials.
- Compliance with hospital policies on safety, privacy, and ethical conduct.
- Willingness to travel or receive reimbursements for licensure and certifications if applicable.
