Job Title: Surgical Technician – Ambulatory Surgery Center
Location: Carmel / Westfield, Indiana

Position Overview

We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Surgical Technician to join a growing Ambulatory Surgery Center team in the Carmel/Westfield area. This role is ideal for a skilled surgical tech who thrives in a fast-paced outpatient environment and is committed to maintaining sterile technique, supporting surgical teams, and ensuring safe, efficient procedures.


Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and maintain sterile surgical fields and instrumentation

  • Anticipate surgeon needs during procedures and pass instruments efficiently

  • Assist with room setup, turnover, and preparation for upcoming cases

  • Verify equipment functionality and ensure proper surgical supplies are available

  • Maintain strict adherence to infection control and safety standards

  • Assist with patient positioning and preparation before procedures

  • Perform instrument counts according to protocol

  • Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesia staff, and nursing team


Qualifications

  • Completion of an accredited Surgical Technology program

  • Current Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential preferred (or eligible)

  • 1+ year of surgical tech experience preferred

  • Ambulatory Surgery Center or outpatient surgical experience strongly preferred

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to anticipate surgical team needs

  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills

  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced clinical environment


Schedule & Work Environment

  • Full-time position

  • Day shifts, typically Monday–Friday

  • No nights, weekends, or major holidays (based on center schedule)

  • Collaborative outpatient surgical setting focused on efficiency and patient safety
