Surgical Pathology Technologist - (250008QR)

 What You Will Do

• Dissects, prepares and dictates gross descriptions of surgical pathology specimens for diagnostic processing.
• Participates in Laboratory support functions.

Additional Responsibilities

• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Complies with all policies and standards.

• Must abide by all requirements to safely and securely maintain Protected Health Information (PHI) for our patients. Annual training, the UH Code of Conduct and UH policies and procedures are in place to address appropriate use of PHI in the workplace.

 

 Education

• Bachelor's Degree in a biological or chemical science (Required)

Work Experience

• Experience in dissection and processing of surgical specimens (Preferred) and
• Medical Terminology (Preferred)

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

• Computer data entry (Required proficiency)
• Anatomy & physiology knowledge (Required proficiency)
• Lab equipment and computer knowledge (Required proficiency)
