Position Summary:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Surgical Administrative Coordinator to support the daily operations of our surgical department. This role is essential in ensuring seamless coordination between patients, surgeons, clinical staff, and administrative teams. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced healthcare environment and demonstrates exceptional communication and multitasking skills.


Key Responsibilities:
  •  Coordinate and schedule surgical procedures, including pre-operative and post-operative appointments 
  •  Serve as the primary point of contact for patients, providers, and surgical staff 
  •  Verify patient information, insurance authorizations, and required documentation prior to procedures 
  •  Prepare and maintain accurate patient records and surgical logs 
  •  Communicate surgical schedules, updates, and changes to all relevant parties 
  •  Assist with obtaining medical clearances and required pre-op testing 
  •  Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and internal policies 
  •  Provide administrative support to surgeons and clinical leadership as needed 
Qualifications:
  •  High school diploma or equivalent required
  •  Previous experience in a healthcare or surgical setting strongly preferred 
  •  Knowledge of medical terminology and surgical procedures is a plus 
  •  Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems and Microsoft Office 
  •  Excellent organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills 
  •  Strong interpersonal and communication abilities 
  •  Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism 
Work Environment:
This position operates in a clinical/medical office setting and requires frequent interaction with patients and healthcare professionals.
