Surgery Trauma Physician Assistant
Join our dynamic trauma care team as a Surgery Trauma Physician Assistant and make a vital difference in the lives of adult patients in a high-acuity, Level 1 Trauma Center. Required Skills:
- Physician Assistant license in Arizona
- Certification as a Physician Assistant (PA-C)
- Previous acute care experience, minimum of 2 years in a trauma or emergency setting
- ATLS certification required
- Proficiency in Cerner EMR system
- Strong clinical judgment and excellent communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in high-pressure situations
Nice to Have Skills:
- Experience working in a Level 1 Trauma Center
- Bilingual capabilities
- Additional certifications in critical care or trauma management
- Ability to handle a high-volume caseload effectively
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Graduation from an accredited PA program
- At least 2 years of relevant trauma or critical care practice after certification
Other Requirements:
- Active Arizona medical license
- DEA certification
- Availability for night shifts (5 PM 7 AM, 5x8-hour shifts)
- Willingness to work in a busy hospital environment with 10-15 patients per day
The position offers an hourly rate of $163.02, with benefits including competitive pay packages, weekly direct deposit pay schedule, comprehensive W-2 medical benefits, a robust referral bonus program, and paid sick time in accordance with applicable laws. Additional reimbursement for licensure, certification, travel, and other expenses is provided as needed.
