Surgery Scheduler - Cardiology

Connected Cardiovascular Care Associates is seeking an experienced Surgery Scheduler to join our growing cardiovascular practice. Our physicians specialize in interventional cardiology, electrophysiology, structural heart, vascular care, heart failure, and preventive cardiology, providing exceptional care to patients across North Texas.

3+ years of surgery scheduling experience is required for this position.

What You'll Do

• Schedule cardiovascular procedures with hospitals and ambulatory surgery centers
• Coordinate physicians, patients, hospitals, vendors, and ancillary services
• Obtain and track prior authorizations, referrals, and pre certifications
• Verify insurance eligibility and benefits
• Coordinate pre operative testing, labs, imaging, and required documentation
• Submit clinical documentation to hospitals and surgery centers
• Educate patients regarding procedure preparation, medications, arrival instructions, and follow up expectations
• Manage physician procedure calendars and communicate schedule changes
• Collaborate with physicians, clinical staff, billing, referrals, and hospital personnel
• Assist the front office with patient check in/check out, phones, appointment scheduling, insurance verification, and collecting copays as needed
• Maintain accurate documentation and HIPAA compliance throughout the scheduling process

What We're Looking For

• Minimum 3 years of surgery scheduling experience
• Cardiology or specialty practice experience strongly preferred
• Experience obtaining prior authorizations and insurance verification
• Knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare insurance
• Experience working in an Electronic Medical Record (eClinicalWorks preferred)
• Excellent communication, organizational, and customer service skills
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Bilingual (Spanish/English) is a plus 

Schedule

• Monday through Thursday: 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
• Friday: 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM
• No evenings, weekends, holidays, or on-call responsibilities.
• Occasional travel between our Dallas and Heath locations may be required.
