Key Skills and Qualifications:
- Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Cardiac Surgery
- Valid Medical License in Pennsylvania
- DEA Certification
- Minimum of 1 year of relevant surgical experience
- Proficiency in EPIC Electronic Medical Records
- Strong clinical judgment and ability to handle urgent surgical cases
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Nice to Have Skills:
- Experience with advanced cardiac procedures excluding TAVRs
- Prior exposure to hospital-based emergency surgery settings
- Ability to work efficiently in high-pressure situations
Preferred Education and Experience:
- MD or DO with specialty training in Cardiac Surgery
- At least one year of post-fellowship experience in cardiothoracic surgery
- Previous work in hospital environments with urgent surgery cases
Other Requirements:
- Availability to work scheduled shifts from Friday 12 pm to Monday 7 am, including 24-hour call
- Willingness to support staff and participate in on-call duties
- Compliance with all credentialing and hospital-specific policies
- Travel and reimbursement considerations when applicable
