Surgery Cardiothoracic Physician Assistant

Required Skills
- Valid PA license with current DEA certification
- Minimum of 3 years of postgraduate experience in cardiothoracic surgery
- Proficiency in vein harvesting procedures
- Strong knowledge of acute care practices and surgical protocols
- Excellent clinical judgment and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
- Competence in EMR systems, specifically EPIC
Nice to Have Skills
- Certification in advanced cardiac life support (ACLS)
- Experience with outpatient postoperative management
- Prior exposure to high-volume surgical settings
- Bilingual abilities or additional language skills
Preferred Education and Experience
- Master's degree in Physician Assistance studies from an accredited program
- Demonstrated experience in urgent or emergency cardiac surgery environments
Other Requirements
- Availability to work scheduled shifts including weekends and overnight call
- Willingness to support high-acuity patient care from cath lab to surgery and ICU transfers
- Compliance with hospital credentialing requirements (approximately 90 days)
- Willingness to travel or relocate if applicable
