Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior/Lead Production Support Engineer with strong expertise in Core Java, concurrency, and multithreading to support and maintain high-performance, mission-critical applications. The ideal candidate will play a key role in ensuring system stability, troubleshooting complex issues, and driving improvements in application performance and reliability.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide L2/L3 production support for Java-based applications in a 24/7 environment.
  • Investigate and resolve performance issues, memory leaks, threading problems, and application bottlenecks.
  • Analyze thread dumps, heap dumps, and GC logs to identify and fix issues related to concurrency and multithreading.
  • Work closely with development teams to debug and fix complex production defects.
  • Lead incident management, root cause analysis (RCA), and problem resolution.
  • Design and implement monitoring, alerting, and automation solutions to improve support efficiency.
  • Ensure high availability, scalability, and reliability of applications.
  • Participate in release deployments, validations, and post-release support.
  • Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership in production support activities.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce incidents and improve system performance.

Required Skills & Qualifications
  • 8 12+ years of experience in Java-based application development/support.
  • Strong expertise in Core Java (collections, memory management, JVM internals).
  • Deep understanding of concurrency, multithreading, synchronization, locks, thread pools, and related concepts.
  • Hands-on experience analyzing:
  • Thread dumps
  • Heap dumps
  • Deadlocks and race conditions
  • Proficiency in tools like JVisualVM, JConsole, Eclipse MAT, or similar.
  • Experience with Unix/Linux environments and shell scripting.
  • Strong knowledge of Postgres and database performance tuning.
  • Experience with monitoring tools (Dynatrace, AppDynamics, Prometheus, etc.).
  • Strong debugging and problem-solving skills in production environments.

Preferred Skills
  • Experience with microservices architecture and distributed systems.
  • Knowledge of Spring/Spring Boot frameworks.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms.
  • Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
  • Experience with incident management tools (ServiceNow).

Pay Range: $35-50/Hr.
