Business Area: Operations Package Marketing & Advertising (OPMA) - Procurement

Organization: Global Procurement Central Services AMER (GPCS AMER), within Global Procurement Operations (GPO)

GPCS ensures Amazon"s Fulfillment Centers receive non-inventory goods and shipping supplies at best value, currently serving ~1,200 sites across 14 countries through two divisions: North America (NA) and Costa Rica (CR).

About the Role:

The OPMA team is seeking a Supply Chain Specialist to execute supply chain processes that drive operational readiness, cost-efficiency, and service optimization. You will work cross-functionally with GPCS and other Global Procurement Operations pillars-Category, Supplier Management, and Site Procurement-to balance risk and efficiency across our global supply chain.

This role sits at the center of Amazon"s indirect supply chain, connecting non-inventory, operations, transportation, and safety teams to ensure uninterrupted supply movement through the network. You will be expected to invent and simplify how we manage inventory, execute processes, and elevate our level of service. Responsibilities include developing success metrics, managing vendor escalations, maintaining process documentation, and mitigating supply chain risks.

Ideal Candidate: Customer-focused, strong communicator, skilled at managing cross-team collaboration and navigating ambiguity in a fast-paced environment.

Key job responsibilities

Campaign Management & Planning

  • Own execution of day-to-day campaign management including deployment, in-flight optimization, and ramp-down strategies
  • Manage all campaign configurations, auditing, early termination, and NIU applications

Vendor & Procurement Operations

  • Manage risk mitigation of excess assets and volume optimization through production control
  • Coordinate intra-campaign and post-campaign logistics to mitigate risk and excess assets in-network
  • Manage freight minimization and maximize downstream FC consumption

Reporting, Documentation & Quality

  • Maintain centralized campaign reporting, production logs (key planning changes, justification, sourcing materials), and metadata/catalog creation (Contracts, Pricing, Awards, Plants)
  • Manage initial Product Quality escalations and vendor escalations from GPCS specialists

Systems & Process Improvement

  • Build and maintain RIVER, Webhooks, SIM, Amazon Approvals, and other system integrations
  • Analyze business processes and workflows to identify areas for improvement
  • Leverage AI and automation tools to drive operational efficiency, reduce manual effort, and scale campaign execution
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to gather requirements, define project goals, and support ongoing process improvement initiatives through data analysis

Qualifications

  • Ability to perform Excel functions, join datasets, and create pivot tables
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and draw meaningful insights
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities
  • Eagerness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced and ambiguous environment
