Responsibilities for this Position:

General Dynamics Mission Systems has an immediate opening for a Supply Chain Program Director.  The position provides an opportunity to enhance the performance and profitability of an organization that supports some of our nation’s fundamental defense services.  General Dynamics Mission Systems employees work closely with esteemed customers to develop solutions that allow them to carry out high-stakes national security missions.

 

Key Responsibilities:
• Acts as primary customer contact for program activities dealing with supply chain.
• Balances supplier's program risks and opportunities with executable strategies.
• Conducts supplier reviews to identify issues and develop corrective actions.
• Delegates assignments to others for developing solutions.
• Develops and implements supplier product/program strategies and roadmaps.
• Develops and executes supplier/subcontractor proposal plans and strategies.
• Develops customer relationships.
• Develops personnel to ensure efficient operation.
• Develops supplier strategies to meet future customer expectations.
• Develops, defines, and executes complex procurement project plans.
• Directs all phases of critical suppliers from inception through completion.
• Directs the negotiation of subcontracts and contract change efforts.

 

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
• Identifies opportunities to apply AI for continuous improvement and innovation.
• Extensive leadership and management skills.
• Extensive negotiation and communication skills.
• Extensive knowledge of supply chain management and program management.
• Ability to develop and implement strategic plans.
• Extensive proficiency in analyzing complex issues and data.
• Familiarity with federal, state, and local procurement regulations.

 

Education and Experience:
• Bachelor's Degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience is
required plus a minimum of 15 years of demonstrated leadership; or
• Master's degree plus a minimum of 13 years of demonstrated leadership.

Salary Note: This estimate represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors (geographic location, etc.). Actual pay may vary.
