Supply Chain Planning - Business Planning Manager

Description -

Job Summary

At HP, we place the customer experience at the center of everything we do. The Supply Chain Planning organization plays a critical role in enabling that experience—balancing demand and supply, driving executional excellence, and ensuring the enterprise can respond with speed, precision, and resilience.

The Business Planning Manager – Sales Inventory and Operations Planning (SIOP) serves as a strategic partner to the SVP of Supply Chain Planning, acting as an integrator across strategy, execution, and governance. This role operates as the connective tissue of the organization—turning strategic intent into aligned priorities, disciplined execution, and measurable outcomes across the end‑to‑end planning ecosystem.

This is a highly visible, high‑impact role designed for a proven leader who thrives at the intersection of strategy, analytics, and execution, and who can operate credibly with senior executives across Supply Chain, Finance, Operations, and Enterprise leadership.

Main Responsibilities

  • Structures systematic approaches to complex business problems, ensuring clarity of scope, decision rights, milestones, and outcomes.
  • Ensures alignment across Supply Chain Planning, Finance, People Organization, and other enterprise stakeholders on priorities, dependencies, and risks.
  • Conducts analysis, business cases, and scenario modelling to support investment decisions, capability development, and transformation efforts.
  • Drives disciplined execution, proactively managing risks, issues, and interdependencies to ensure delivery of outcomes.

More clarity:

  • Independently structures analytical approaches and develops project strategies by applying advanced, in-depth supply chain and industry knowledge.
  • Interprets benchmarking and statistical data to create new processes, strategies, and tools to be used for supply chain business objectives.
  • Conducts investigation and prepares business case and financial analysis for supply chain projects and programs.
  • Leads large, cross-functional project teams (e.g. P2P, SIOP), providing mentoring and guidance to achieve project goals.
  • Owns complex strategic supply chain projects from planning through to execution and provides findings resulting from project execution.
  • Consults with business executives on a wide range of high-level supply chain issues, including risk management and new growth opportunities.
  • Works with key stakeholders as required to optimize supply chain solutions and provide input into new process capability requirements, driving an improved implementation experience and high adoption rate.
  • Acts as a key advisor to senior management on the development of overall supply chain strategies and long-term goals of the organization.
  • Leverages industry and subject matter expertise to contribute to the development of innovative principles and ideas in supply chain projects and programs.
  • Creates new frameworks for delivery and contributes to tools, templates, and intellectual capital.

Education & Experience Recommended
