Position
 
The Supply Chain Manager leads all functions of the Towmaster supply chain, ensuring the reliable flow of materials necessary for complex, engineered-to-order trucks and trailers. This role oversees procurement, inventory control, order fulfillment to support an aggressive production schedule, and shipping.
 
Responsibilities
  • Lead Warehouse, Traffic, and Purchasing teams, developing metrics and working through the supervisors and leads to meet goals.
  • Develop and implement supply chain strategies to optimize operations and reduce costs.
  • Work through in house and corporate Purchasing team to manage procurement activities, including sourcing, negotiating contracts, and managing supplier relationships.
  • Oversee inventory management, including forecasting demand, monitoring inventory levels, and managing stock levels.
  • Manage logistics and distribution activities, including warehousing, transportation, and order fulfillment.
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement actions on existing processes, focusing on Lean inventory.
  • Monitor and analyze supply chain performance metrics to identify successes and opportunities, working to implement corrective actions where needed.
  • Model and maintain safe work practices.
  • Collaborate with value stream consistently about upcoming jobs in all areas of supply chain.
  • Manage Paycom functions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, logistics, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in supply chain management.
  • 3+ years of leadership experience.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Suite.
  • Experience with ERP products, SAP a plus.
  • Knowledge of relevant regulations and standards.
