Description Join Amazon's AMXL team as a Supply Chain Manager supporting middle mile long-term planning. You will play a key role in shaping network strategy across the 1-5 year horizon, working with cross-functional teams to optimize transportation cost, carrier mix, and capacity planning for Amazon's extra large item delivery network. This role offers direct exposure to senior leadership and the opportunity to influence decisions that impact millions of customer deliveries. Key job responsibilities - Support middle mile network strategy and execution planning for the 1-5 year horizon - Configure and analyze optimization models to assess network scenarios and produce strategy recommendations - Coordinate planning cycle inputs across Retail, Finance, Operations, and Science teams - Analyze transportation cost drivers including carrier mix, attainment, and sort center connectivity - Build and maintain full year plans for middle mile operations across US and Canada - Support development of strategic planning documents for leadership review - Identify opportunities to reduce cost-to-serve and improve network efficiency A day in the life Your primary focus is building and analyzing long-term transportation plans for the AMXL network. You'll spend your time running scenarios through optimization tools, digging into the data to understand what's driving costs, and working with partners across finance, operations, and science to make sure the plans reflect reality. During busier periods, you'll help pull together the inputs and analysis that go into strategy documents for senior leaders. Outside of those cycles, you'll have time to dig into specific problems - like how carrier mix impacts cost, or where the network has capacity gaps - and bring recommendations to the team. About the team Amazon Extra Large (AMXL) is a single-threaded organization with ownership of the end-to-end customer experience for large, heavy, and bulky products. AMXL consolidates E2E supply chain: strategy, data analytics, tech, operations, warehousing, order fulfillment, transportation, and delivery. The AMXL NA Middle Mile Long Term Planning team drives network strategy and capacity planning across sort centers, carrier partnerships, and delivery connectivity for the 1-5 year horizon. Basic Qualifications - 3+ years of program or project management experience - 3+ years of working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams experience - 3+ years of defining and implementing process improvement initiatives using data and metrics experience - 2+ years of supply chain experience - Bachelor's degree - Knowledge of Excel (Pivot Tables, VLookUps) at an advanced level and SQL - Experience defining program requirements and using data and metrics to determine improvements Preferred Qualifications - 3+ years of driving end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership experience - 3+ years of driving process improvements experience - Experience in stakeholder management, dealing with multiple stakeholders at varied levels of the organization - Experience building processes, project management, and schedules Amazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
