Demand Planning Associate
Location: El Segundo, CA (Hybrid – 3 Days Onsite / 2 Days WFH)
Pay Rate: $23/hr
Duration: 6 Months

Job Description

Seeking a Demand Planning Associate to support forecasting, supply planning, and inventory optimization activities within a fast-paced consumer products environment. This role will focus on demand forecasting, sales trend analysis, reporting, and S&OP support while partnering with cross-functional teams across supply chain, sales, marketing, and finance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support monthly baseline demand forecasting for product portfolios using historical sales data and statistical analysis
  • Analyze forecast accuracy, forecast bias, and sales trend deviations using internal reporting systems
  • Support S&OP planning activities by integrating promotional plans, new product launches, and market intelligence into forecasts
  • Perform data analysis and reporting to identify root causes impacting demand variability
  • Assist inventory planning teams with demand signal alignment to reduce stock-outs and excess inventory
  • Support SKU rationalization, supply chain optimization, and planning-related projects
  • Create and maintain forecasting reports, dashboards, and planning documentation
  • Utilize Excel and reporting tools for large dataset analysis and business insights

Education

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree completed within the last 12 months
  • Preferred fields: Supply Chain, Business Analytics, Engineering, Mathematics, or related discipline

Required Skills

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs, formulas, and data analysis
  • Demand forecasting and sales trend analysis
  • S&OP process exposure
  • Inventory planning and supply chain analytics
  • Statistical analysis and reporting
  • Large dataset analysis and data interpretation
  • Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Forecast accuracy and bias analysis
  • SKU productivity or catalog rationalization exposure
  • Cross-functional supply chain support experience

Preferred Skills

  • Background in Supply Chain, Engineering, Statistics, or Business Analytics
  • Experience with statistical forecasting models
  • Consumer products, retail, or beauty industry exposure
  • Supply chain reporting and planning systems experience
  • Sustainability or inventory optimization project exposure
