Position Description 

This position is responsible for overseeing the shipping and receiving of goods, inventory and products from our Hoboken NJ facility. The manager’s role is to interface with multidisciplinary engineering, manufacturing and purchasing teams to streamline warehouse operations, order fulfillment, and shipments. 


Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage picking, packing, shipping, and order processing to meet service level agreements (SLAs) and speed expectations.
  • Manage incoming receiving inspections and inventory intake processes
  • Oversee inventory accuracy, tracking, storage optimization, and cycle counting to prevent shortages.
  • Maintain accurate shipment, inventory, and receiving records for operational and audit purposes.
  • Ensure traceability of products, assemblies, and shipped materials
  • Coordinate with carriers and 3PL providers, optimize shipping routes, and manage freight costs.
  • Ensuring that prior to shipment the items are properly packed and labeled and that all essential documents, including commercial invoices, packing lists, and bills of lading are generated.
  • Ensuring that all goods are declared to the authorities in the originating country, verifying compliance with regulations and allowing them to leave.
  • Optimize warehouse layout, slotting, and equipment usage, utilizing WMS (Warehouse Management Systems) to track performance.
  • Coordinate equipment, consumables, and warehouse supply needs
  • Supervise, train, and schedule warehouse staff to maintain a productive and safe working environment.
  • Monitor key performance indicators such as on-time delivery, order accuracy, and cost-per-shipment to identify improvements

Required Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or Business Administration preferred.
  • Previous experience in logistics, warehousing, or supply chain management.
  • Experience with international shipping and export compliance preferred 
  • Experience developing and improving warehouse or logistics operational processes
  • Proficiency with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), Transportation Management Systems (TMS), and Excel.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems and inventory control processes
  • Strong team management and communication skills.
  • Ability to troubleshoot logistical bottlenecks, such as carrier delays or inventory discrepancies.
  • Familiarity with safety regulations and shipping compliance
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with engineering, manufacturing, procurement, and quality teams 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with ISO 9001 or quality management systems preferred
  • Experience in manufacturing, hardware, photonics, semiconductor, aerospace, or technology environments preferred
