Amazon Business (AB) is reinventing B2B commerce by delivering broad selection, low pricing, and exceptional service to business customers of all sizes. This role directly supports Amazon"s flywheel by improving supply chain efficiency, reducing operational costs, and enabling the reliable delivery experience that drives customer trust and repeat purchasing.

We are seeking an analytical, detail-oriented Supply Chain Analyst to join our North America Operations team in Nashville, TN. You will use data to solve real-time fulfillment challenges, support process improvements, and help ensure business customers receive the service Amazon is known for.

This is an ideal opportunity for an early-career professional who wants to build supply chain analytics expertise within one of the world"s most advanced logistics networks. You will work alongside experienced operations professionals, gain hands-on exposure to industry-leading systems, and see the direct impact of your work on Amazon Business"s growth.

This is a full-time, hourly role, Monday through Friday.

Key job responsibilities

  • Analyze daily supply chain metrics across the fulfillment network to identify data anomalies, inventory discrepancies, and operational issues, then execute resolution or escalate to appropriate owners
  • Extract, aggregate, and validate data from multiple sources using Excel and SQL to produce accurate reports and actionable insights for operations stakeholders
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying process inefficiencies, documenting root causes, and recommending solutions for senior team review
  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners including fulfillment centers, transportation teams, and technology groups to troubleshoot supply chain bottlenecks
  • Build and maintain automated reporting tools using advanced Excel formulas, pivot tables, and VBA macros to streamline recurring analytical tasks

A day in the life

You start your day reviewing automated reports and flagging data anomalies in the fulfillment network. You investigate inventory discrepancies using SQL and Excel, then share findings with fulfillment center partners. In the afternoon, you update your weekly performance dashboard and collaborate with a senior analyst on a process improvement project. You close the day by documenting open issues and preparing priorities for tomorrow. You balance reactive troubleshooting with proactive analysis while building your supply chain expertise.

About the team

The Amazon Business North America Operations team builds the supply chain solutions powering AB"s rapid growth. We are a data-driven, customer-obsessed group focused on operational excellence in B2B fulfillment. You will work with professionals across operations, technology, and business teams in a collaborative environment that values curiosity, ownership, and continuous learning.

Amazon.com Inc

At Amazon, we don’t wait for the next big idea to present itself. We envision the shape of impossible things and then we boldly make them reality. So far, this mindset has helped us achieve some incredible things. Let’s build new systems, challenge the status quo, and design the world we want to live in. We believe the work you do here will be the best work of your life.

Wherever you are in your career exploration, Amazon likely has an opportunity for you. Our research scientists and engineers shape the future of natural language understanding with Alexa. Fulfillment center associates around the globe send customer orders from our warehouses to doorsteps. Product managers set feature requirements, strategy, and marketing messages for brand new customer experiences. And as we grow, we’ll add jobs that haven’t been invented yet.

It’s Always Day 1
At Amazon, it’s always “Day 1.” Now, what does this mean and why does it matter? It means that our approach remains the same as it was on Amazon’s very first day – to make smart, fast decisions, stay nimble, invent, and stay focused on delighting our customers. In our 2016 shareholder letter, Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos shared his thoughts on how to keep up a Day 1 company mindset. “Staying in Day 1 requires you to experiment patiently, accept failures, plant seeds, protect saplings, and double down when you see customer delight,” he wrote. “A customer-obsessed culture best creates the conditions where all of that can happen.” You can read the full letter here

Our Leadership Principles
Our Leadership Principles help us keep a Day 1 mentality. They aren’t just a pretty inspirational wall hanging. Amazonians use them, every day, whether they’re discussing ideas for new projects, deciding on the best solution for a customer’s problem, or interviewing candidates.
