Job Opening: Supplier Technical Support Specialist

Job Description
Supplier Technical Support Specialist (STS) is responsible to support Procurement Buyers and Expeditors in maximizing Supplier Performance and is dispatched as required by Procurement Management to provide On-Site Support at Targeted Suppliers who may be at risk in delivering to CPI/Program requirements. Through appropriate communication with Program, GS Program, GS Procurement Management, and GS Expediting, the STS assists in the assessment, planning and coordination of solutions for Supplier Issues impeding delivery of quality product to CPI. All in accordance with company directives and work instructions.
Essential Functions
Review Supplier Performance Metrics
Review Critical Reports with Expediting to seek out trends
Support Program Meetings
Make recommendations to Procurement Team to maximize Supplier performance
Establish and maintain effective, positive working relationships with suppliers
Apply knowledge of root cause analysis
Apply knowledge of manufacturing
Knowledge of procured commodities within aerospace and defense industry and familiarity with associated manufacturing processes
Ability to effectively analyze supplier performance issues and recommend corrective measures where necessary
Demonstrated ability to prepare and brief supplier performance reports and other performance measures
Qualifications
10-14 years experience
·Bachelors Degree preferred or equivalent education and work experience
Strong analytical skills
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Proficiency in MS Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Travel required
The salary range for this position is: $79,350-$120,970. Actual compensation will be dependent upon the individual"s skills, experience, qualifications and other factors allowed by law. Individuals are not typically hired at or near the top of the salary range.
