We are currently seeking an experienced Consulting Supplier Quality Engineer. This role is an exceptional opportunity for a seasoned professional to apply their skills in SQA, ISO 9001, PCB Assemblies, root cause analysis, and electro-mechanical manufacturing. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of experience in the field and will be tasked with enhancing and maintaining the quality of our supplier base while ensuring our products meet the highest standards of quality.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead supplier approval processes by assessing manufacturing/technology capabilities.
  • Drive systematic improvements to supplier quality through trend analysis, root cause analysis, and supplier scorecarding.
  • Implement and maintain ISO 9001, ISO9K, and other relevant quality standards and systems.
  • Conduct regular supplier audits to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) for monitoring and improving supplier performance.
  • Manage the IQA process, including the inspection and release of products.
  • Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to develop and implement strategies for improving supplier quality.
  • Drive root cause analysis and the implementation of corrective action for process related concerns.
  • Provide technical and quality support to the purchasing team during the supplier selection and development process.
  • Lead workshops and training sessions on quality standards and processes for both internal teams and suppliers.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2-8 years of experience in supplier quality engineering in an electro-mechanical manufacturing environment.
  • Extensive knowledge of ISO 9001, PCB Assemblies, printed circuit boards, and electro-mechanical manufacturing.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with a strong ability to conduct root cause analysis and implement effective corrective actions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with suppliers and internal teams.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and quality management software.
  • Certification as a Quality Engineer (CQE) or Certified Quality Auditor (CQA) will be an added advantage.
