Supplier Quality Engineer

75-year-old (and growing!) industrial components engineering & manufacturing company has an opening for a Supplier Quality Engineer.

Duties:

• Develop, implement, and maintain supplier quality assurance processes
• Analyze quality performance data, conduct regular supplier audits, and lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and supplier performance
• Utilize process automation and data management tools (Power BI, Power Automate) to modernize quality workflows, improve data visibility, and streamline supply chain management
• Ensure products and materials from external suppliers meet the company’s quality standards
• Certify compliance with industry standards and regulations while contributing to the delivery of high-quality products to customers
• Communicate daily with suppliers (verbal and via email)
• Reviewing mechanical blueprints
• On occasion, support the quality department with measurements/inspections, creating inspection sheets/quality plans, etc.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in a technical discipline preferred (Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, etc.) – However, will consider candidates with 2-year degrees with strong supplier quality experience
• 2+ years of experience as a supplier quality engineer within a manufacturing/machining environment
• Experience with data analysis tools and business intelligence platforms such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar
• Familiarity with workflow automation platforms such as Power Automate, Zapier, or similar
• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to read blueprints
• Experience developing and implementing supplier quality processes
• Experience working with a wide supplier base is preferred
• Familiarity working with Statistical Process Control (SPC) software
• Experience working in a low volume, high mix environment a plus
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally on occasion
• Ability to pass a drug test

Salary: $85-100K
