Pay Rate: $40 - $45 per hour



Summary:

  • Duration: 2-3 Months
  • Work Mode: 100% onsite
  • Location: Orlando, FL


Responsibilities:

  • Participate in the Supplier Approval and Evaluation process
  • Perform Supplier Evaluations, evaluate supplier capabilities, and review supplier documents
  • Review and support Supplier Deviation process
  • Work as a liaison between Engineering and Supplier to address specification and/or print questions
  • Manage supplier quality systems, policies, and procedures
  • Interface with suppliers at company location or on-site at supplier’s location
  • Track supplier performance KPIs and drive continual improvement
  • Manage corrective actions, both internal and external
  • Participate in Kaizen and continual improvement projects, focusing on rework and scrap reduction
  • Evaluate supplier rejections and manage all phases of Supplier Corrective Actions
  • Plan and execute product and process-related audits, driving preventative actions at the supplier’s facility
  • Execute product verification activities with suppliers, such as FAI, Acceptance Test, and Authorization to Ship
  • Participate in supplier program milestone reviews for new strategic awards
  • Analyze quality data, track and report data, and respond to data trends
  • Willingness to travel


Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or industrial engineering with an emphasis on lean manufacturing and Quality Management Systems
  • 3-5 years of supplier quality experience
  • Ability to work productively and cohesively in a diverse and multicultural environment
  • Experience interacting with cross-functional teams including engineering, materials, logistics, sales, and marketing
  • Demonstrated supplier management skills
  • Project management experience or similar skill set
  • Strong analytical and quantitative abilities
  • Proficient in Microsoft suite of tools
  • Experience executing data analytics using statistical software or MS Excel
  • Effective two-way communication and executive presentation skills
  • Business acumen
  • Experience using various quality methodologies: Lean, Six Sigma, 8-D, DFMEA, PPAP, etc.


Preferred Skills:

  • ASQ certification: CQE, CRE, CSQP, preferred
  • Experience working with application and validation of welding procedures
  • Training in Lean Manufacturing, 6-Sigma, AWS, and ISO 9001:2015
  • Experience with Coordinate Measuring Machine or Portable Articulating Arm, a plus
