Job TitleSupplier Quality EngineerAbout Our ClientFounded in the 1940s, our client is a manufacturer for the aerospace industry. They offer unique and specialized engineered products that are used for aerospace, marine, ordnance, nuclear, precision and commercial applications. Due to exciting growth, they are seeking an experienced supplier quality engineer to drive improvement and be a key representative of the company to their core suppliers.Job DescriptionConduct routine supplier audits to verify compliance with quality standards. Perform on-site supplier audits (approximately 30-60% travel required). Complete risk assessments and related documentation. Develop and implement supplier quality and delivery control processes, including supporting audits. Track, analyze, and report supplier performance metrics. Partner with suppliers to address quality concerns and drive corrective actions. Review and approve supplier quality documentation. Manage supplier non-conformance reports and coordinate timely issue resolution. Lead supplier development initiatives to support continuous improvement. Provide supplier training through on-site sessions and remote learning. Support supplier selection and qualification activities. Maintain and manage the Approved Vendor List (on-boarding and release). Support new product development by ensuring supplier quality requirements are met. Manage and support internal corrective action processes to drive continuous improvement. Oversee and maintain the calibration system, ensuring compliance and accuracy. Maintain BMS document control, including updates and distribution. Administer and manage Repair Station documentation and the training database.
