The role reports to the Director of Quality. Your top priorities will be to develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors, implement a Vendor Management program and supporting metrics, and increase communication and collaboration with key departments. The position requires 100 % in‑office presence in our Jacksonville, FL offices and does not offer remote work.Essential FunctionsEnsuring suppliers for IEM maintain all regulations and requirementsUpdating the supplier database with continuously updated records of performanceCreating quality control guidelines and protocolsProviding advice to vendors on how to reduce defect ratesPerforming logistics tasks, such as communicating with vendors when supplies don't meet quality standardsAssessing products and supplies from vendors to ensure their qualityCreating and promoting strategies to increase the quality and efficiency of systems and productsConducting audits of supplier management quality systemsActing as a liaison between vendors and company leaders, determining solutions to any challenges to quality standardsVisiting vendor facilities to ensure they uphold quality standardsDeveloping and maintaining relationships with suppliers and vendorsOversee and develop process improvements strategies and documentsDevelop & implement Vendor Management program and supporting metricsAny other related duties in connection with the position including but not limited to:Risk Assessments, PFMEA, Six Sigma, 5S, FOD Prevention, Kaizen, IPC StandardsUnderstanding of UL, CSA and other regulatory requirementsMust abide by Health and Safety Rules and have demonstrated commitment to good housekeeping/organizational practicesResponsible for compliance to company and regulatory standardsMaintain and develop strong working relationships with other departments outside vendorsStrive for continuous improvement in all aspects of the work environment, this includes active participation in company committees, project teams and relevant job trainingCommit to self‑development goals as discussed with your Vice President and attend company‑sponsored trainingPerform other duties as assigned by Vice PresidentThe candidate will be expected to perform additional duties as assigned to support the team and organizationCompetenciesVerbal and written communication proficiencyAttention to detailThorough compliance knowledgeOrganizational and time management skillsReliable with a respect to confidentialityQuality management systemsRoot‑cause analysisQuality ControlTechnical SkillsQuality EngineeringCollaborationStatisticsContinual improvement processSupply chain experienceQuality AssuranceEducation And ExperienceDiploma in relevant field with work experienceRelated experience on Infor Syteline ERP systemsAdvanced proficiency of Microsoft Office applications (Access, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint)Excellent verbal and written communication skillsAbility to multi‑task and prioritize in a fast‑paced manufacturing environmentUnderstanding of Mechanical Engineering and/or Electrical Engineering and/or Materials EngineeringDemonstrated career ambition with a track record of growth and increasing responsibility; highly promotable with the potential to take on broader leadership roles within a fast‑paced, high‑growth organizationPhysical/Mental/EnvironmentalPhysical Demands:Activities: Sitting – 70% Walking/Standing – 30% Travel – 30%Lifting: Must be able to lift up to 10lbs.Vision: Long periods of close work on computer screen.Mental Demands: Interpret, analyze, research and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.Environment: Climate controlled office space 70% with 30% in production areas.Why Join IEMAt IEM, you'll join a team that powers some of the world's most ambitious projects.
