Supplier Quality Engineer - Casting & Machining

Education• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related engineering discipline (mandatory)Experience• Minimum 7–10 years of relevant experience in manufacturing, supplier quality, operations, or quality engineering rolesRole SummaryWe are seeking a highly experienced and hands‑on Supplier Quality Engineer (SQE) with strong expertise in casting and machining processes, particularly aluminum castings. The role requires close collaboration with suppliers, frequent onsite visits, and active involvement in resolving quality issues related to both current production and new product development.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and manage supplier quality activities for casting and machined componentsDrive APQP, PPAP, and engineering change management processes at supplier locationsProvide hands‑on support to suppliers to resolve quality issues and improve process capabilitySupport new product development (NPD) and address launch and ramp‑up quality concernsConduct supplier audits, assessments, and continuous improvement initiativesDrive corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) and ensure sustainable quality improvementsAct as a technical interface between suppliers, manufacturing, and engineering teamsTechnical Skills & ExpertiseStrong hands‑on experience in casting processes, including:Knowledge of other casting processes such as sand casting and high‑pressure castingExperience in machining of engineered componentsGood understanding of manufacturing processes and quality management systemsProven experience in supplier quality management and structured problem‑solving methodologiesAbility to provide practical, shop‑floor‑level solutions to suppliersBehavioral & Other RequirementsHighly energetic, proactive, and results‑oriented mindsetStrong communication and stakeholder management skillsWillingness and flexibility to undertake frequent travel to supplier locationsOpen to travel within and outside the USA#J-18808-Ljbffr
