Position Summary:

This role combines strategic supplier development with data-driven procurement analysis to enhance supply chain performance and drive productivity. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing supplier relationships, ensuring quality and delivery standards, and leveraging data analytics to identify cost-saving opportunities and support procurement decision-making across direct and indirect categories.

Key Responsibilities:

Supplier Development:

• Identify, onboard, and develop suppliers to meet quality, cost, and delivery expectations.
• Implement continuous improvement initiatives with suppliers to enhance performance.
• Collaborate with category managers and procurement teams to align supplier capabilities with business needs.
• Interface with cross-functional teams to prioritize supplier development needs to improve cost competitiveness or supply constrains
• Support supplier scorecards and performance QBR with top suppliers.
• Monitor and report on supplier performance metrics.

Procurement Analysis:

• Perform trend and gap analyses across inventoried and non-inventoried purchases.
• Develop and maintain dashboards and reports using global tools to support regional and global procurement strategies.
• Analyze tail spend and establish reporting criteria for better spend visibility.
• Support ERP taxonomy improvements and data cleansing to enhance procurement data quality.
• Assist in RFP evaluations through data modeling and scenario analysis.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Economics, Statistics, or a related field.
• Experience: 5–10 years in procurement, supplier development, or procurement analytics, preferably in the chemical or manufacturing sectors.
• Technical Skills:
  • Advanced Excel (macros, pivot tables, formulas), Access, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with ERP systems and procurement tools.
  • Strong data mining and business intelligence capabilities.
• Soft Skills:
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in cross-functional teams.
