Supplier Development Engineer

Job Responsibilities

• Evaluate new and existing suppliers in coordination with Commodity Managers.
• Monitor supplier performance and take action with suppliers failing to meet minimum requirements.
• Conduct supplier readiness activities associated with New Product Launches to ensure sourced suppliers are fully prepared for launch.
• Resolve any supplier issues escalated to Supplier Development from the MEC Manufacturing Plants.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Skills Requirements

• Strong communications skills (verbal and written).
• Strong Conflict management skills.
• Strong knowledge of AIAG Core Quality Tools (APQP, FMEA, Process Flow, Corrective Action, Control Plans, etc.).
• Experience conducting audits of suppliers.
• Leadership skills to conduct meetings with co-workers and suppliers.
• Strong negotiation skills.

Educational Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in supply chain, engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience required.

Experience Requirements

• Three years of supply chain experience required.
• Prior experience in the manufacturing industry preferred.
