Join our team of problem solvers as we add new chapters to the history of spaceflight!Special MentionsRelocation providedTravel expected +50% of the timeMultiple positions availableMust be willing to work long hours and weekends when needed to meet critical deadlinesResponsibilitiesImprove quality, cost, delivery, and capacity metrics across the supply chainCreate, improve, and implement supplier quality and manufacturing processesReview and understand supplier issues, and recommend the appropriate actionsWork closely with receiving, receiving inspection, supplier quality engineer, and assurance in purging suspect/non‑conforming material from inventory and throughout the organizationOversee and be accountable for supplier audits to ensure their ability to meet part performance, delivery, and reliability expectationsDevelop, analyze, and present process metrics to encourage design for manufacturability, quality, and supply chain improvementsAnalyze and improve supplier processes for bottlenecks, yield, and rate limiters to meet throughput targetsManage supplier workflow and projects to ensure priorities are aligned with business needsDevelop schedules and plans to bring up new parts and processes in the supply chain, and support supplier execution against timelineLead, track, and improve supplier manufacturing process development and launch readiness for new products and design changesDevelop, implement, and continuously improve business processes needed for receiving inspection operations, nonconforming hardware management, manufacturing and assembly, product traceability, and other critical business/production systemsWork with leadership to develop future business models, establish roadmap and measures, and execute long‑term strategic plansMinimum QualificationsB.S. Degree or higher in an engineering degree4+ years of experience in an engineering, supply chain or quality roleHas worked with product development teams to define, scope, and prioritize design requirements to ensure operational and manufacturing successExperience in hardware development and manufacturing of complex electronic assembliesExperience in technical management of suppliersExperience in implementation of DFx principles in an outsourced manufacturing environmentExcellent Communication Skills – Ability to articulate technical problems to non‑subject matter expertsExperience with fault tree analysis and value stream or process flow mappingAbility to learn, grow and tackle new challenges in a fast‑paced environmentExcellent attention to detail and task ownership, someone who demonstrates pride in all work and willingness to perform low‑level tasks when neededAbility to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusionMust be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylumPreferred QualificationsMaster's degree in engineering or businessLean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or similar training/experienceExperience with capacity modeling, process mapping, and fault analysisExperience with packaging design, manufacturing, and qualificationExperience in tooling bring‑up, machining processes, secondary finish processes, and qualificationExperience with Pareto analysis, root cause, and corrective actionsHands‑on experience with metallic, plastic, composite, or electromechanical manufacturing techniques, processes, and equipmentHas managed planning and technical aspects of product builds through the full product life cycleCompensation Range for WA applicants: $112,059.00 – $156,882.60.
