Job Title: Supplier Account Manager – OCIE 

Location: ADS Headquarters (Virginia Beach, VA) NOT Remote

Responsibilities

    • Foster relationships with existing suppliers
      • Track & understand outcomes of ride-alongs with key suppliers
      • Schedule quarterly meetings with top suppliers
      • Assist with updating vendor plans
      • Log all calls/visits in Salesforce
      • May be asked to work with specific vendors to increase margin/value added discounts
    • Advise ADS sales team on product, pricing and deal strategies to help them generate business and meet their company goals.
      • Effectively communicate the details of our supplier relationships
      • Maintain up to date supplier pages
      • Coordinate sales training, joint sales calls and lead sharing with ADS sales team and suppliers
    • Oversee supplier agreements and pricing
      • Responsible for communicating pricing information in a timely fashion must be able to fully articulate and assist with pricing calculations
      • Support all Proposal requests for pricing
    • Respond to day-to-day needs of sales & support teams
    • Support Category Manager with preparation of Vendor Plans and quarterly reviews
    • Manage supplier contract schedules
    • Support ADS-specific products and part numbers
    • Manage supplier incentive programs
    • Help with identifying and reaching out to potential new suppliers
    • Provide support to Marketing by managing supplier tradeshow and catalog participation

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree required
  • 2-3 years' experience with vendor or supplier relations or in tactical gear sales
  • 2 years' experience with MS Office
  • Willingness to travel on a limited basis (approximately once per month)
  • Expected to maintain high scores in Key Performance Indicators on vendor contacts and margin
  • Understanding of ADS contract vehicles highly preferred must be able to quickly become proficient in relevant buying methods
  • ADS experience may be substituted for any of the above at manager's discretion

 

Salary Range: $62,500 to $75,000

The salary range represents the base compensation range for this role.  The actual compensation will be determined based on a candidate’s education, experience, and skills.  In addition to base compensation, full-time employees in this role are eligible for bonuses based on performance.
