Job Overview
Join the Deaconess COMP Center team and play an important role in supporting the health and safety of local businesses and their employees. As an Occupational Health Specialist, you'll provide a variety of employment-related health services both in our clinic and at client locations throughout the community.
In this dynamic role, you'll prepare materials and equipment, perform on-site services such as drug screenings, respiratory fit testing, and audiograms, and ensure accurate documentation and reporting for clients. You'll also assist with charge entry to support billing processes and help deliver a seamless customer experience.
This position offers a flexible schedule with opportunities to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team. Early mornings, evenings, and travel to client locations may be required based on business needs. Education and Experience
High school diploma or GED
1 year or more of related health care experience preferred but not required
1 year of related training from a college or technical school in a health occupations field preferred but not required
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
Training and appropriate licensure/certification as an EMT, or Paramedic preferred but not required.
Training in one or more of the following preferred: occupational hearing conservation, spirometry, respiratory fit testing, breath alcohol testing certification, phlebotomy, and urine drug screening.
