The Facilities Management Director will oversee and coordinate operations within the Facilities Management Department, utilizing broad technical, administrative, and management knowledge.
They will address and resolve complex technical, scientific, engineering, and design challenges beyond support personnel capabilities.
The role includes formulating budget requirements through the NAVFAC RAP Process, considering future plans, and managing payroll, training, and overhead costs.
Responsibilities also involve implementing efficiency improvements and cost-saving procedures in operations.
The Director will focus on continuous process enhancements, personnel development, optimal use and replacement of equipment and facilities, and the development and marketing of better maintenance and contracting services.
