Description

  • Warehouse Operations:
    • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the warehouse, ensuring the efficient receipt, storage, and distribution of goods.
    • Maintain an organized, clean, and safe warehouse environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
    • Manage and supervise all warehouse personnel, ensuring that they are properly trained and adhere to established procedures and policies.
    • Develop and implement strategies to improve warehouse efficiency, reduce costs, and streamline processes.
  • Shipping and Receiving:
    • Oversee all shipping and receiving activities to ensure timely and accurate processing of incoming and outgoing shipments.
    • Coordinate the receipt of goods, ensuring all products are recorded, and stored appropriately.
    • Ensure shipments are packed, labeled, and dispatched according to company standards and customer requirements.
    • Maintain accurate records of all incoming and outgoing shipments, including quantities, conditions, and locations.
    • Collaborate with carriers and freight companies to arrange shipments.
    • Track and trace shipments to ensure on-time delivery and address any delays or issues promptly.
    • Resolve discrepancies related to shipment contents, damaged goods, or missing items by coordinating with vendors and customer service.
    • Responsible for ensuring all health and safety requirements are met at all times for the warehouse.
  • Inventory Control:
    • Ensure proper inventory management through accurate tracking and recording of goods, including stock levels, storage locations, and condition of products.
    • Monitor inventory levels regularly to identify slow-moving or obsolete products and take necessary action.
    • Maintain inventory accuracy by coordinating regular cycle counts and audits.
    • Develop inventory management strategies to optimize space, reduce waste, and improve overall efficiency.
  • Team Leadership and Training:
    • Train, motivate, and develop warehouse staff to foster a high-performance team.
    • Cross-train personnel within the shipping and warehouse departments to ensure operational flexibility and backup coverage.
    • Maintain accurate personnel records and documentation regarding counseling, evaluations, training, attendance, and safety incidents.
    • Encourage and supervise a neat, clean, and organized work environment, ensuring the proper storage of finished goods and packaging materials.
  • Communication and Collaboration:
    • Collaborate with customer service personnel to ensure 100% on-time delivery and meet customer expectations.
    • Maintain clear communication with management, co-workers, subordinates, and external business contacts in a timely, professional manner.
    • Participate in weekly meetings with upper management and executives to review performance, discuss successes, challenges, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Continuous Improvement:
    • Develop and implement strategies for continuous improvement in warehouse operations, focusing on productivity, cost reduction, and service quality.
    • Support and participate in process improvement initiatives to optimize warehouse workflows and support overall business goals.

Skills / Experience / Education Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; further education or certification in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field is preferred.
  • Previous experience in warehouse management or a similar leadership role (3+ years) is preferred.
  • Experience operating reach trucks and forklifts is required. Previous forklift certification required.
  • Strong leadership, negotiation, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact effectively at all levels.
  • Ability to handle shifting priorities and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Solid computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft D365, Microsoft Office Suite, and the ability to create and manage spreadsheets.
  • Ability to lead, motivate, and influence staff in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Additional Requirements:
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of classified information.
  • Ability to lift heavy items (e.g., up to 50 pounds and 100 pounds assisted) and stand or walk for extended periods.
  • Flexible with shift work, overtime, or weekend availability if necessary.

Working Conditions / Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift 50 pounds and 100 pounds assisted, with activities that typically require a variety of muscle movements with frequent requirement for speed and coordination. Environment with frequent exposure to dust, dirt, inclement weather. Required PPE - steel toed boots, safety eyewear, gloves and hardhats.

Ability to travel for business purposes. Potential to visit with customers or remote warehouses as needed.

The expected compensation range for this position is $80,256 - $111,320. This range includes base pay and target variable pay. Actual compensation will depend on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and experience. We also consider internal equity to ensure fair and consistent pay practices. This range reflects the expected full compensation range for the role; most offers will fall within the range and not at the maximum in order to allow for future growth.
