We are seeking a MFM Sonographer Supervisor to supervise the day-to-day operations of our MFM Ultrasound unit. This position will oversee the daily operations of all ultrasound services including: hiring, discipline and full performance management of sonography staff as well as their professional development. Additionally, this working sonographer is accountable to oversee all aspects of clinical compliance as well as customer service, and ensure that patients are engaged with professionalism, respect and a service oriented attitude. 

Responsibilities:
The incumbent will:
  • Be involved in changes in clinical practice, participate on MFM clinical meetings and
  • Work closely with the Ultrasound Medical Director, Clinic Medical Director and clinic management team to plan for and implement continued improvement in performance goals.
  • Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team of physicians, allied health providers, and administrative support staff to better coordinate operational and clinical service aspects of Ultrasound unit.
 
*Shift Hours:  8:00AM-5:00PM
*Days of Week: Monday-Friday
Qualifications:

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements: Graduate of formal education and training in ultrasound technology program. Must be ARDMS, NT and OB/GYN certified. Minimum of two years experience in MFM sonography. Minimum of two years supervisory experience.

Motor Vehicle Operator Designation: Employees in this position: Will operate vehicles for an assigned business purpose as a non-frequent driver NOTE: A frequent driver is defined as one who uses his/her personal or Shands automobile a) at least once daily, b) at least five individual trips per week or c) drives, on average, over 150 miles per week in the performance of his/her job.

Licensure/Certification/Registration: RDMS, NT and OB/Gyn certification and Basic Life Support (CPR) required or must be obtained within first ninety days of employment. Must maintain current Basic Life Support (CPR). BLS certification must be secured through the AHA or Red Cross.
