Position Overview

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking an experienced Sterile Processing Supervisor to lead the daily operations of a busy sterile processing department within a 317-bed acute care hospital. This role is responsible for ensuring all surgical instruments and medical equipment are properly decontaminated, assembled, sterilized, and distributed in a timely and compliant manner.

The ideal candidate will work closely with surgical and clinical teams to maintain the highest standards of patient safety, operational efficiency, and regulatory compliance while supporting and developing departmental staff.

Key Responsibilities

Team Leadership & Operations

• Oversee and coordinate daily sterile processing department activities
• Supervise, train, and mentor staff to ensure optimal performance
• Promote a collaborative, accountable, and efficient work environment

Sterilization & Quality Assurance

• Manage decontamination, assembly, and sterilization processes
• Ensure compliance with infection control standards and safety protocols
• Maintain readiness for audits, inspections, and regulatory reviews

Process Improvement & Compliance

• Assist in developing and updating departmental policies and procedures
• Monitor performance metrics and implement process improvements
• Identify opportunities to enhance workflow efficiency and service quality

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Partner with operating room and clinical teams to ensure instrument availability
• Support inventory management and equipment tracking
• Ensure timely delivery of sterile supplies across departments

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Completion of an accredited Sterile Processing certification program
• BLS Certification required within 30 days of hire

Experience Requirements

• Minimum 2–3 years of sterile processing experience
• Prior supervisory or leadership experience in a hospital setting preferred
