Summary:
- Position Summary:
- Coordinate and provide leadership for the daily functions of the pharmacy technicians in a manner so as to provide efficient pharmacy services. Serve as subject matter expert for the roles and duties of pharmacy technicians at Penn Medicine Lancaster General Health LGH . Represents the perspective of the pharmacy technicians within the departments leadership team.
- Qualified individuals must have the ability with or without reasonable accommodation to perform the following duties:
- Coordinates daily activities of pharmacy techncians, performance of medication delivery systems, and department workflows.
- Participates in and drives engagement of pharmacy technicians in continues improvement projects and department initiatives.
- Supports the recruitment, on-boarding, and development of pharmacy technicians.
- Supports department efforts around safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.
- Provides direct leadership to pharmacy technicians and potentially lead technicians.
- Ensures appropriate communication between members of the team including locations and shifts.
- Serves as a subject matter expert in terms of progressive ways to use pharmacy technicans to deliver optimal care within LGH.
- The following duties are considered secondary to the primary duties listed above:
- Assists other managers supervisors in creation of policy and procedures.
- Observes and reports to department manager director unusual situations, occurrences, or complaints.

Responsibilities:
- Minimum Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or successful completion of general educational development GED exam.
- National pharmacy technician certification CPhT required.
- Five 5 years of pharmacy technician experience.
- A health care provider in good standing with Medicare, Medicaid, and other federal and state health insurance programs, i.e. not excluded from participation in Medicare, Medicaid or any other federal or state health insurance program.
- Completion of ASHP accredited or comparable pharmacy techinician training program

- Certified Pharmacy Technician - PTCB (Required)
Education or Equivalent Experience:
