Halifax Regional Municipality is inviting applications for the permanent, full time position of Supervisor, Parking Enforcement in Parking Services, Public Works.

Reporting to the Manager, Parking Services, the Supervisor, Parking Enforcement (SPE) is responsible for the leadership, management and day-to-day operation of the parking enforcement section. The SPE is responsible for the design, development and implementation of effective and efficient business practices to address the service demands of the municipality and for effective and responsive enforcement of the Motor Vehicle Act and HRM By-laws which fall under the purview of the SPE. Responsibilities of the position also include community safety issues with respect to blocked access, no loading zones, metered parking and foot patrols which fall within the scope of this position. Day-to-day operations include community standard issues such as curb side solid waste, snow and ice inspections.

Graduation from HRM's Aspiring Leader's Program is considered an asset, and completion of the program is equivalent to one year of leadership experience.

WORK STATUS: Permanent, Full Time
HOURS OF WORK: 35 hours per week. Regular evening (until 8:00PM) and Saturday hours may be operationally required.
SALARY: Non Union, Level 5, $67,498 - $87,355. Salary will be determined based on relevant experience and qualifications related to the specified pay band and job. Placement above the midpoint of the pay band is typically reserved for candidates who significantly exceed the minimum qualifications, such as those with exceptional experience, specialized skills, or demonstrated achievements relevant to the role. This ensures fair and consistent compensation practices across the organization.
WORK LOCATION: 2021 Brunswick Street, Halifax, NS B3K 2Y5. Work location can be changed according to operational requirements.
